Aston Martin Pair

This pair of Aston Martins entertained us on our way home on a Friday afternoon - that Vantage and DB9 sounded out a symphony that prompted us to switch off our radio, and open our windows to take in the sound, and snap a few pix.....the drivers certainly lapped up the attention !

This Chevy W8s for NO1 !

I saw this tasty Chevy bakkie in the Umhlanga area, a couple of weekends ago - interesting that I read about it winning the Performance Car of the Year award, from Cars in Action, beating out the new M3, the C63 AMG and the latest Subaru Impreza Sti!!!!

Driving behind it, yesterday, I savoured it's growl, but that just served to magnify the longing I have for my own green Chev - watch this space, it's coming home THIS WEEK!!!!

Everyone had so much fun on the last breakfast run to Speedway 105 Café in December, that we decided we just had to do it again. More than thirty stunning Hot Rods, Muscle Cars, Choppers and Harleys came out to celebrate the launch of the DecemberSA HotRods magazine. We stopped holidaymakers in their tracks as we cruised from Clifton to Speedway 105 Café, the ultimate petrolhead hangout in Cape Town.

We are again calling on all Hot Rods, Muscle Cars, Choppers and Harleys to join us this Sunday for a late breakfast run, this from Clifton (next to La Med restaurant) to Speedway 105 Café (via Camps Bay, Hout Bay and Kirstenbosch Gardens). We will then continue the celebrations at Speedway 105 with a show of these fine specimens and a Rockabilly party – complete with barbeque and Rockabilly music.

We are hoping to make this a monthly outing, something for all us Rodders to look forward to, so please come and support. Let us know if you will be joining the run and bringing your car so that we can ensure we have a space for you in the parking area in front of Speedway 105. If you can’t make the run, we would still love it if you could join us at Speedway 105 in the afternoon.

We look forward to seeing you there…
